Program & Other Fees Payment

System usage fee

Applicants must pay the system usage fee at the time of application. Please note that your application will not be accepted until payment is completed.

Payment Method

Payment for system usage fee and tuition fee can only be made by credit card. The system fee must be paid at the time of application, and details regarding tuition payment will be sent to you by e-mail after your application is submitted. Please note that if payment is not made within the designated period, the application will be deemed to have been declined. Please note that the fees already paid are non-refundable.

Additional Fees

Some courses including field training will require additional fees (accommodation fees during the field training, travel expenses, etc.) For details, please check the course page you wish to take. Fees that will be required for courses will be collected in cash (Japanese yen) after participants arrive in Hokkaido, Japan. Accordingly, they should bring the necessary cash amount for fee payment.

Point to Note

・The system usage fee is non-refundable for any reason after payment has been completed.

Successful applicants who decide to cancel all or part of their courses after submitting an application should contact the Hokkaido Summer Institute Managing Section via the Inquiry Form or e-mail. In principle, tuition fees that have already been paid will not be refunded, except if Hokkaido University issues a policy of refunding (due to infectious diseases, disaster, etc.).

Hokkaido Summer Institute reserves the right to cancel the course due to unforeseen and/or unavoidable circumstances. In this case, any expenses incurred including tuition fee will not be reimbursed. In addition, Hokkaido University is not responsible for any costs associated with cancellations of airline tickets or accommodations. Applicants should keep this in mind when making travel arrangements.
